Welcome to the registration page for the Executive Function and Emotional Regulation Group for Middle School and High School!

The purpose of this ADHD Counseling Group is to provide a culturally competent, safe, and understanding environment. In this group, both adolescents and teens can explore their daily challenges living with ADHD, learn coping strategies, and develop habits to increase executive functioning skills to manage their ADHD effectively.

The group will incorporate fun into learning new skills and will aim to encourage and uplift members of the group.

Connect with like-minded individuals experiencing similar feelings.

Participants will use the following book during group sessions: 

The ADHD Workbook for Kids: Helping Children Gain Self-Confidence, Social Skills & Self Control by Lawrence E. Shapiro, PH.D

When:

We will have two separate groups.

For Middle Schoolers: The group will meet weekly on Fridays at 5 pm

For High Schoolers: The group will meet weekly on Fridays at 6 pm

Cost:

$75 per group session.

Group Materials:

Participants will receive The ADHD Workbook and an ADHD starter kit.

**All materials are included in the cost for this group!**

In addition to the ADHD Workbook, an ADHD starter kit will be provided which includes some fun goodies like a stress ball, pen, notepad, a fidget device, a sticker and a planner. It will also include a consent form for an outside session in a local park. Fun games will also be incorporated into group sessions.

At the end of the 6-week group, a completion ceremony will be held to recognize the hard work and progress participants display throughout the course of the group.


This group will be facilitated by Cleo Chalk.

Pronouns: He/ Him

Cleo is a Resident in Counseling at The Wise Family. He was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. He enjoys hiking and trying new foods. He loves to play video games and listen to podcasts during his free time.

Cleo believes that it is his role to uplift the community through advocacy, support, and intervention. He has always desired to collaborate with and assist individuals in goal setting, behavioral change, emotion regulation, and acceptance.

Cleo’s experience working with teens and adolescents is extensive as he volunteered at his former elementary and middle school throughout his college career. In addition, his mentorship and event planning opportunities at the University of Delaware have made him well-suited to work with young adults. Further, he has experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds and continues to grow in cultural competency.
